OPTICAL DISTRIBUTION SUITE FRAME, 720 FIBRE

TC4054T (ISO SUBRACKS) Optical Fibre Distribution Frames - Warren and Brown

OPTICAL DISTRIBUTION SUITE FRAME, 720 FIBRE

Optical Suite Frame (OSF) provides managed standard fibre installation, reticulation, interconnection, distribution, re-arrangement and maintenance activities at a common point and allows for fibre testing and fault finding activities.

The optical distribution frame features dedicated 10 x (2RU / 3RU) splice / patch subracks (patch panels) specifically handling its own outgoing patch cords. This provides a defined, separate, managed, outlet route for each group of 72 or 96 fibre patch cords, ensuring all patch cords stay neatly organized, without tangles or cross – overs occurring in the outlet paths. The OSF is divided into a higher and lower half, each handling five subracks, that allows for orderly future growth.

A major feature of the subracks is the minimum amount of movement that occurs to patch cords, as the tray opens and closes. This ensures a very high degree of protection for working services. Also, the rear patch positions are located in a protected area, because there is very little chance of them being disturbed when front patch cords are being installed, as the subracks tray only needs to be opened a very small amount of time.

  • The OSF features a cable termination side and a patch cord management side
  • The OSF is used in a suite of racks, normally positioned at the end of a suite
  • The optical distribution frame efficiently manages long excess lengths of optical fibre cords, whilst maintaining the MBR everywhere at 30mm
  • In the OSF termination side, an upper and lower group of 5 (2RU / 3RU) subracks is provided. These can terminate either 72 or 96 fibres in a single subrack. Up to 960 optical fibres can be terminated
  • The cord management side features an upper and lower level, for managing outgoing long length patch cords
  • Entering optical fibre cables enter in a discrete channel on the LHS of the cable termination side
  • The termination side has separation panels to keep entering optical fibre cables separate from the cords
  • The cord management side has separation panels to keep outgoing optical fibre cords in a defined, separate, managed, outlet route, which can be either overhead or underfloor
  • Achieves well managed, orderly and neat layout for outgoing patch cords, and redirection of patch cords
  • 72 & 96 fibre splice / patch subracks (2RU & 3RU), available separately – can hold 2 x 5 = 10 x 72 fibre splice /patch subracks
  • Other 96 fibre splice / patch subracks (2RU), LCD connector (Part No: 60083221391081R) available separately – can hold 2 x 5 = 10 x 144 fibre splice / patch subracks
  • All subracks are 19” rear mount
  • Two, 88mm O.D. convoluted tubes connect into each side of the OSF above the cord management side
  • Alternatively, all fibre cords exit on bottom RHS of fibre storage side of rack
  • Incoming cables can enter from either above or below the termination side of the rack
  • ESD strap connection point provided on subrack side
  • Metal subrack protection lid provided
