QPC manufactures highly reliable rugged multi-channel, hybrid and expanded beam connectors that easily connect in the field with a minimal signal loss. The connectors are specifically designed for real-time transmission of HD signals with the ability to withstand harsh demands.

In addition to its ruggedized connector systems, we have easy to deploy yet extremely tough fibre cables designed to survive high-traffic areas. Our cable assemblies are optimised to withstand the rigours of installation challenges such as difficult cable pulls, high tensile loading, and severe crush occurrences.

Other Industrial Applications

Our custom connectors are stainless steel and other corrosion resistant alloys to ensure high performance and long life in a salt air or salt water environment. Assemblies for this industry feature extremely rugged cables with integrated steel braiding to provide superior tensile strength. Hardware is NEMA4x rated to protect internal electronic components from the elements.

QBeam Expanded Beam Connector

The QPC Qbeam 4 Channel Expanded Beam Fiber Optic Connector has been designed to the latest MIL requirements. The expanded beam connectors use a drum lens to collimate the signal at many times the original diameter.

This technology makes the connector very resistant to shock, vibration, and environmental issues.

Because the system is non-contact, the connector life is in excess of 5,000 cycles. The protective window is easy to clean and makes the connector ideal for field use in extreme conditions.

The hermaphroditic design allows multiple cables to be directly connected without adapters (i.e. daisy chained). This connector minimises the logistical problems of handling changing requirements within those various applications.

Stinger Module

QPC’s Stinger Module System is a compact, flexible method of terminating fibre optic cables.

The system consists of inter-changeable modules and can be adapted for a variety of applications including ITS Systems; Data Centers, CATV, FTTH, and many more.

This very flexible termination system can be supplied pre-configured or as field upgradeable components. Mounting options include a DIN rail system for fast rugged assembly with trouble free operation, versatility, and a long service life. Screw mounts are available for maximum flexibility.

Adapter modules are available with SC, ST, FC or MTP adapters in singlemode or multimode. The cable input module can be supplied with or without a splice tray. The enhanced cable strain relief and a second cable entry port make the Stinger very flexible, expandable, and field upgradeable.

The end result is an extremely neat and trouble free installation.

All assemblies are made to your broadcast environment requirements. With thousands of interchangeable components such as fibre cabling and fibre optic connectors, QPC is proud to offer full custom assembly solutions. Choose from a wide range of connectors from QPC’s catalogue to meet your specific connective needs including but not limited to the Qmicro, Qmini, QBeam, E-Link, Vitalis and QFOCA, plus many more. QPC enables the ability to design a perfect project- specific solution, allowing each customer to adjust cable length, channel count, connective units, and reels.

QPC offers a wide variety of cable reels to house the custom deployable broadcast cable assemblies. Each reel is hand selected for your project’s harsh requirements, to ensure the highest quality, with superior performance in a variety of sizes configurations for a wide range of applications and assembly types. Choose from a range of metal and composite cable reels, featuring many different options including stackable reels, carrying handles, and custom colours.

With a separate connector compartment for secure deployment, these rugged reels are ideal for both indoor and outdoor use and are highly resistant to shock and abrasion, which allows for rapid deployment and reduces recoil of the assembly. The use of reels also prevents handling damage and allows for testing prior to installation.

QGrip Metal Breakout Kit

The QPC QGrip Metal Breakout Kit provides a ruggedized solution to terminating distribution cables (for 900µm tight buffered cables only). Unique to QPC, the revolutionary metal construction of the breakout kit ensures the structural safety of each fibre within the assembly. The QGrip is available up to 12 fibres with 2mm or 3mm subunits with a standard length of 24”.

The QGrip comes with a standard red anodise finish and can be customised based on customer requirements.

QLite Sealed LC Connector

QPC’s QLite Sealed LC Connector is designed to exceed the requirements of ODVA, the connectors meet IP68 environmental sealing ratings and are the ideal choice for a low cost and easy to use solution in Industrial, Fibre to the Antenna (FTTa), or any other harsh environmental applications.

The QLite Connector is designed with a simple bayonet locking system, according to the IEC 61076-3-106 interface standard, which allows mating to similar locking systems.

The QLite Connector yields exceptionally low insertion loss for Singlemode applications and provides connector colour coding options in Multimode applications for differentiation of OM3 or OM4 constructions.

Qmicro Expanded Beam Connector

The QPC Qmicro Expanded Beam Fiber Optic Connector features all the benefits of QPC’s existing expanded beam connectors, in the most compact and lightweight housing.

The QPC Qmini 90° Quick Connect Expanded Beam Connector has been designed to the requirements of MIL-PRF-83526, with a speciality 90° body and back shell designed specifically for use in harsh environments with tight spaces experiencing difficult cable management.

The hermaphroditic design allows assemblies to be daisy chained together without adapters, allowing for flexibility in system design.

The expanded beam connector uses a spherical lens to collimate the signal at many times the original diameter. The QPC Qplex Expanded Beam Fiber Optic Connector is a modular (2-16 Channel) connector featuring all the benefits of QPC’s existing expanded beam connectors, in the most compact and rugged housing.

All of QPC’s quality cable assemblies come pre-terminated and custom designed to your unique specifications, allowing for an easy installation.

All assemblies are made to your project requirements. With thousands of interchangeable components such as fibre cabling and fibre optic connectors, QPC is proud to offer fully custom assembly solutions. Choose from a wide range of connectors to meet your specific connective needs including but not limited to SC, LC, ST, FC, MT-RJ, and MU. QPC offers the ability to design a perfect project-specific solution, allowing each customer to adjust cable length, channel count, connector type, etc.

High Density Connector

The QPC High-Density connector system utilises industry standard 1.25mm ferrules in a unique termini body to give unparalleled contact density in a harsh environment connector.

The vibration proof 38999-III style connector body is made of nickel plated aluminium for a long, trouble free service life. A fast, triple lead thread allows the system to be mated quickly. The connectors are available in a variety of keying options to prevent erroneous connections in complex systems.

The termini retention mechanism is taken from the 28876 style ‘Shipboard’ connector, the current industry standard in a harsh environment.
